Tauranga Eastern Link Opens

The opening of the new Tauranga Eastern Link has been accompanied by promises of growth and development in the region. There is no doubt that areas east of Te Puke like Paengaroa have been made more accessible and this may result in more development. However on the other hand some opponents would have preferred roading improvements in other areas of the Bay of Plenty, such as fixing the much publicised difficulties with the Tauranga to Katikati route.

Both pro link and anti groups have valid arguments and you can read more about the pros and cons of the new Tauranga Eastern Link at these websites: http://www.nzta.govt.nz/projects/tauranga-eastern-link/. There is also an interesting short video tour of the TEL below which was produced by NZTA in the early planning stages of the work.

The TEL is now complete and if you are planning on constructing a residential or commercial building to take advantage of the improved access, please call us to discuss your plans.
